Let’s go at it the whole Hogg from start

-

STUART HOGG says Scotland are capable of playing a lot better than they did against Ireland – and vowed they’ll look to prove that against Italy on Saturday.

Skipper Hogg reckons the key against the Italians is for Scotland to play at the top of their form from the start so they don’t have to throw all their energy into chasing the game.

Hogg said: “I’d love next week to be in a position that we’re not chasing the game. We want to be in a position where we’re comfortable, we’re in control of everything and have the foot on the throat from the very beginning.

“That’s a challenge I know the boys are more than capable of doing.

“The annoying thing for us now is that we have to wait till next week to perform. It’s difficult to take at the minute. The boys are really, really disappointed with the final outcome. “The frustrating thing for myself and the rest of the boys is we know we’re a lot better than that – a lot better than what we showed at times. “And it hurts. This one really, really hurts. It’s just frustrating, so frustrating.”

WOLVES are set to complete a £250,000 move for Hibs youngster Murray Johnson.

A deal is close to being struck that will see the keeper move to the Molineux club in the summer.

Johnson, who has been training with Jack Ross’s first team, recently signed a new deal at Easter Road. The 16-year-old has attracted interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal.

Hibs striker Ethan Laidlaw is also attracting interest from England’s top flight.
