A MAN went on a drunken rampage after drowning his sorrows over losing his horse named Elvis in the break-up with his partner.

William Moran got boozed up the day after Valentine’s Day – while struggling with the fallout of his split from Francine McDonald.

The couple were the proud owners of several snakes, dogs and horses – including Elvis which has his own Facebook page.

And losing contact with the animals as a result of the “divorce” proved to be too much for Moran.

Paisley Sheriff Court heard yesterday how he damaged property, was caught drinking in the street, acted aggressively and shouted and swore at police officers. He committed the offences in his home town of Paisley on February 15 this year – just days after he’d been released early from a previous sentence.

Moran pleaded guilty to three charges – vandalism, drinking in the street and behaving in a threatening or abusive way. Moran, who remains remanded in custody, will learn his fate next month.
