Hi money, I’m home!

-

THIS new game show is as baffling as it is fascinating.

Stacey Dooley hosts as four people all claim to own the same house and be the same person. But only one, of course, can be telling the truth – the other three are actors.

It’s like an episode of Through The Keyhole that’s got way out of hand and turned into some kind of murder mystery-type parlour game with added panto drama.

That’s not all. There’s also a celebrity panel – comedians Bill Bailey, Emily Atack, Judi Love and Jamali Maddix, were joined this week by guest Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen.

It’s ultimately down to them to scour for clues and pick the true homeowner.

If they’re right, the homeowner wins a cash prize. If not, the homeowner wins nothing. In this episode, we meet four people claiming to be Fern Maxted, including an LA society girl and a former PR man who claims Fern is short for Fernando.

The dynamic is bizarre as the four start slating each other’s stories about living in the converted barn in Ashford, Kent, with Fern 1 becoming the villain of the piece.

“I was sold this town as an international hub, but it’s basically a glorified bus stop,” she says.

Everything gets increasingly strange as Stacey is toured round the homes by all the Ferns.

There’s tension as we wonder which Fern the dog will run to, and it gets even more awkward when all four Ferns cosy up to alleged husband Mark and discuss how they met.

A spot-the-imposter game that’s all good fun.
