Photographer Graham dies on mountain

Devastated family and friends pay tribute after rescuers find body of man

- BY JON HEBDITCH

HEARTBREAKING tributes have been paid to a “truly talented” photographer after his tragic death on a mountain.

We told how police and mountain rescue teams had been searching for the man since he was reported missing on Wednesday, March 24.

But despite massive efforts, a body of a 57-year-old man was recovered from Ben More near Crianlarich.

He has been named locally as Graham Harris Graham, a renowned photographer who had his own business taking stunning shots of the Scots hills.

Tributes have flooded in for Graham, who was hailed as “greatly talented” and “very kind”.

Devastated sister-inlaw Lisa Hall wrote on Facebook: “In memory of my brother-in-law Graham Harris Graham.

“It’s heartbreaking and sad losing you. You were the most kind, talented, caring, funny and compassionate guy I have ever met.

“You will forever live on in our hearts.

“We will treasure the memories of us being together laughing and having fun. We will treasure all the beautiful pictures you gave us in our home.

“We will forever love and miss you Graham.”

Catriona Stevenson wrote: “Devastated doesn’t cut it. Graham was a dear friend and, as he would put it, colleague.

“Culross will never be the same for me. You would never meet a kinder soul, he would do anything for anybody. Rest in peace.”

Alex Hume wrote: “This gentleman and his lovely wife were my next door neighbours when they stayed at South Kersie Farm.

“He will be sadly missed, a great friend and buddy. Many’s a walk we had together on the Ochil Hills and surrounding area.

“RIP Graham, you are gone but will never be forgotten. Your memory lives on in your artwork, which is proudly displayed in our home.”

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said last week: “There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
