PUT ON THE KETTLE

- BY GARRY OWEN

KETTLE HILL (3.20) looks red-hot for William Haggas in the feature Racing TV Handicap at Redcar.

The colt improved again slamming Hundred Isles on his return at Wolverhampton recently. The four-year-old is also proven on Turf so he can take full advantage of an attractive mark.

MR EXCELLENCY (2.50) can extend Mark Johnston’s winning run in the Straight Mile Handicap. The colt stretched his unbeaten run to two when routing Bearaway on the Southwell all-weather and should be effective on Turf so he can strike again under the skilled Ben Curtis.

Johnston can bag a double with CHASE THE DOLLAR (4.25) in the 1m 2f handicap. A game winner at Ayr, the colt ran yet another stormer when second to Calcutta Cup at Chester so this unexposed type can go one better on his three-year-old debut.

BIMBLE (3.40) can get his career back on track for Henry Candy on a trappy card at Windsor. The filly ended last season by flopping in a seven-furlong Listed event at Goodwood in October but had been progressive over six before that so she can return to form down in trip.

Tony Carroll’s SIR TITAN (4.40) rates a value bet in the closing At The Races Handicap.

The gelding bounced back when cosily dismissing Divine Messenger on the Kempton all-weather and remains fairlytreated on his old form so can follow up under Cieren Fallon.

SHANROE TIC TEC (1.0) looks sweet in the opening conditionals’ handicap hurdle at Huntingdon.

Ben Pauling’s horse stayed on track with an excellent second behind Bavington Bob at Carlisle. The nine-yearold still lurks on an attractive mark so he can go one better in a weaker contest.

ICONIC MUDDLE (2.0) can open his account over fences for Gary Moore. The useful hurdler was a fine third to King D’argent in his fencing bow at Warwick in December and jumped fairly well that day so he can deny a strong field on the faster conditions.

OLYMPIC CONQUEROR (2.30) can build on his comfortable defeat of Yauthym at Fakenham.
