MILES STOREY reckons guts can lead to glory for Caley as they bid to get back to the top flight.

Thistle came from behind to grab a point in Dumfries that could be so crucial in their play-off push.

Storey set up Nikolay Todorov to cancel out Aidan Fitzpatrick’s opener.

The ex-Aberdeen hitman said: “We showed a bit of character. We didn’t take advantage of later chances, but we can be upbeat.

“That’s eight games unbeaten, including six wins on the bounce, which is good at any level.

“Since I have come back from injury I have been trying to contribute more.

“It was great to get the assist against Queens and I managed to get a few other good crosses in, I’m happy to have made an impact.

“We have a platform for the last few games to make something happen.

“If we keep playing as we have been and take our chances then we’re

VITAL ASSIST Miles Storey confident we can get the wins we need. We’ve got momentum so we need to take advantage of that.”

Queens can boost their own play-off hopes with a win over Raith tomorrow.

Goal hero Fitzpatrick is eyeing a start after being out of the plans for the last three weeks.

The striker, on loan for Norwich, said: “I have been waiting to come on and make an impact. I have been working hard in training and just waiting for my chance.

“Thankfully I was able to get the goal, but it was just unfortunate that we lost a goal so soon after it.

“But we need to dust ourselves down and be ready for Tuesday.

“It’s been frustrating not to play but hopefully I can get into the starting lineup now.”
