RAY’S FAITH IN SQUAD SOLID

LEAGUE TWO

-

RAY McKINNON is happy to tap into his squad’s depth tonight as runaway leaders Queen’s Park motor towards the title.

Annan will pitch up at the Spiders’ temporary home in Falkirk looking to inflict a first league defeat.

Sitting 12 points clear, McKinnon said: “It is a big game and one we want to win because it helps us keep moving forward. We will make two or three changes to keep legs fresh.”

Annan are winless in 2021 as boss Peter Murphy said: “It’s going to be a tough encounter in a number of tough encounters we have coming up. Queen’s Park haven’t been beaten but we will look to do that.”

Bottom side Brechin sit six points adrift as they head to an Edinburgh City outfit unbeaten under Gary Naysmith in the league.

Glebe Park player-boss Michael Paton said: “It is a real test of their character to see how they react after such a poor performance and conceding four bad goals to Albion Rovers.”

Stirling could finish the night in second against promotion foes Stranraer.

Boss Kevin Rutkiewicz said: “Hopefully we can come up with a bit of quality that separates the teams.”

Stenhousemuir, sitting sixth, could catch Stranraer with a win over Elgin and gaffer Davie Irons said: “We still have a chance to finish in the top half so it’ll be an interesting game.”

Cowdenbeath picked up their first win since the restart three days ago and head to Cliftonhill knowing a win could send them above Albion into seventh.

Boss Gary Bollan said: “If we show a similar level of performance to our success over Elgin then we have a good chance.”
