Whitney and Kush have a plan for the future and at least Martin seems happy for them.

He explains to Ruby that it’s for the best if Kush takes Arthur to Dubai, especially as his mate has promised to return once Stacey is released and the Mitchells have calmed down (which could take a long time).

However, some Walford residents are less likely to give the pair their blessing. Gray, who is under pressure from Phil about his lack of a plan, is particularly annoyed to spot Whitney with Kush, Arthur and their suitcases. Elsewhere, Isaac is intrigued by a rare mention of his brother Paul. Patrick admits he feels like he failed his murdered son and wishes Paul had told him how much trouble he was in.

Feeling guilty, Isaac comes clean to his dad about his own secret, which leaves Patrick shocked but supportive, as he insists it’s nothing to be ashamed of. But when Patrick compares him to Paul, Isaac muses to Lola that maybe, like his brother, he’s misunderstood and later asks Ash about doctors making mistakes with diagnoses… The newly returned Sonia discovers Keegan and Tiffany have moved in but she has a surprise of her own for Dotty, while Mick encourages his daughters to bond, although Nancy is clearly preoccupied.

Bernie is surprised when Molly offers to let Bailey spend time with Ziggy but it’s a rare bit of good news for the family, as Karen later gets a visit from the loan sharks. A conversation between Rainie and Stuart about their search for a surrogate gives her an idea about raising cash.
