THOMAS TUCHEL insists he’s determined to stay at Chelsea beyond his current 18-month deal.

The German has led the Blues to their fourth FA Cup final in five seasons. And Tuchel is sure to be on Bayern Munich’s radar after Hansi Flick announced he wants to quit at the end of the season.

But speaking after Hakim Ziyech’s goal ended Manchester City’s Quadruple dream, Tuchel insisted he is happy at Stamford Bridge and would like to stay for the long-haul.

He said: “If I deserve to stay I am super happy to stay – and I will try to stay as long as possible.

“I feel like part of the Chelsea family. The club is super professional and we have a team with the potential to be successful.”

Former Borussia Dortmund and PSG coach Tuchel only signed an 18-month deal – with an option to extend – when he replaced Frank Lampard in January.

Tuchel has also taken Chelsea to the semifinals of the Champions League and is battling for a top-four place.

He is determined to maintain that level of success and stay at the

BAYERN RADAR Tuchel Blues despite the Bayern situation, with Flick expected to take over as Germany manager after the Euros.

Tuchel, who became the first German boss to take a team to the FA Cup final, added: “When I took the job I had to think about it for maybe five or 10 minutes.

“No matter how many years my contract is, I demand from myself I deliver, have an impact and be the best I can.

“I don’t care what it says on my contract. I need to deserve to stay longer and if I deserve to stay longer I will stay longer.

“That is what I demand from myself. I feel free. I feel good and I am at the right place, in the right moment.

“Everything else will fall into its place. If I want to stay longer I need to work harder week in, week out.”

Chelsea face Brighton tomorrow night in the league and a win would ensure they go back into the top four.
