Kyl steals show

Mbappe double in Messi’s debut for PSG

-

LIONEL MESSI made his debut but Kylian Mbappe stole the show as PSG saw off Reims 2-0.

The Argentina star, who moved to Paris from Barcelona on a twoyear deal earlier this month, came on as a 66th-minute substitute for Neymar.

But it was Mbappe who bagged a double as PSG maintained their perfect record this season to stay top of Ligue 1.

Mbappe, linked with a move to Real Madrid, headed the opener in the 15th minute before firing his third goal this season in 63.

Barcelona’s Memphis Depay scored for the second game in a row to give his side a 2-1 win at home to Getafe in LaLiga.

Sergi Roberto put Barca ahead in the second minute, sliding in to meet a Jordi Alba cross.

But Sandro Ramirez pulled Getafe level in 17 minutes later after Sergio Busquets lost the ball and the visitors broke with purpose, the striker firing a low shot past Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Barca restored their lead on the half-hour mark when Frenkie de Jong fed Depay and his early strike crept inside the near post.

It was the second time in eight days Depay had got his new club out of trouble after scoring a superb half-volley in the 1-1 draw at Athletic Bilbao.

Dani Carvajal’s second-half strike secured a second win for leaders Real Madrid as they beat Celtic’s Europea League rivals Real Betis 1-0. Shortly after Karim Benzema had a goal disallowed, the France striker set up the 61st-minute winner with a cross volleyed home by Carvajal.

In Italy, Oliver Giroud’s first goals for AC Milan helped them to a 4-1 win over Cagliari to continued their perfect start.

Sandro Tonali curled in a freekick before Alessandro Deiola headed the visitors level.

Rafael Leao edged Milan back in front before ex-Chelsea star Giroud scored his first goal and then converted from the spot.

Juventus began life without Cristiano Ronaldo with a shock 1-0 home defeat by promoted Empoli after a first-half goal from Leonardo Mancuso.

And Ciro Immobile scored a first-half hat-trick as Lazio thumped Spezia 6-1.

Robert Lewandowski hit a hattrick to reach 300 goals for Bayern Munich as they thumped Hertha Berlin 5-0 in the Bundesliga.

Thomas Muller opened the scoring before Lewandowski doubled the lead and Jamal Musiala added the third. The Poland star struck twice more to reach his landmark.

Two own goals in the first 14 minutes from Iago and Florian Niederlechner put Bayer Leverkusen – also European rivals for Celtic – on the way to a 4-1 win at Augsburg.

Niederlechner pulled one back before Patrik Schick and Florian Wirtz completed the scoring.
