Failed politician Galloway resorts to flogging personalised birthday messages for £25 a pop

GEORGE Galloway is flogging personalised videos to fans online for £25 a pop.

The 67-year-old former MP has signed up to Thrillz, a UK-based firm offering greetings from its stable of celebrities.

For £25, he will record a video message while for £40 you can purchase the firebrand’s “performance package”.

Among the things that you might want to ask of Galloway are: will you wish Tony Blair happy birthday?; do you do cat impressions?, can you say “indefatigable” 10 times fast?, is a congratulatons for George W Bush on 20 years since he became US president out of the question?, and any tips for running in a by-election?

It’s not the first time Galloway has eschewed politics for celebrity.

In 2006, he appeared on Celebrity Big Brother where he mimicked licking milk – while pretending to be a cat – from actress Rula Lenska’s hands.

At £25, he is among the cheaper options for birthday greetings, wedding congratulations, or a get well soon message.

Fitness instructor Mr Motivator charges £50 for his shout-out package, ex-world snooker champion Dennis Taylor levies £40, and an impersonator of The A-Team’s Mr T asks for £75.

In May, Dundonian Galloway failed in his bid to get elected to the Scottish Parliament. In July, he was defeated in the Batley and Spen by-election.

A Labour source said: “I’m not sure why anyone would want to pay him £25 for anything but the real problem may be keeping his birthday messages to the point and not spiralling off into self-serving conspiracies.”

Thrillz founder and CEO Anjan Luthra said: “George Galloway is an influential figure in the British political sphere and, as a fellow Scotsman, I am thrilled to have him on our talent roster at Thrillz. He has been a hit with our customers.”

Galloway did not comment.
