SATURDAY JURY
It’s the biggest Edinburgh derby since... erm... the last one. Prediction please and where will game be won and lost?
Where’s the nearest fence? I think this will be an exciting draw and not scoreless either. Both teams are playing well, confidence is high and they’ll have a real go at each other. 2-2.
If he’s fit, it’s the perfect chance to throw him in – a home game against a side struggling for form. Ange Postecoglou has thrown most of his new boys in at the deep end and I don’t see him doing anything different.
Tough one, this. We are nowhere near out of the woods with this virus but there hasn’t been enough dialogue with clubs on how it would work operationally. It seems like just another knee-jerk decision that hasn’t been thought through.
There’s no doubt she can win. Leylah Fernandez will battle for every point but Raducanu’s performances have been unbelievable. She’s won nine matches to get this far, including qualifying, and she can get to 10 in a row.
The head-to-head between Scotland team-mates Kevin Nisbet and Craig Gordon could be pivotal. Nisbet has started the campaign in decent form but Gordon looks as good as ever at 38. I’ll go 2-1 Jambos.
Ajeti’s done nothing to suggest he merits a start. Give the new man Giakoumakis a chance to show what he can do.
I’m all for personal freedoms but if we are to ever rid ourselves of this virus, some tough choices and sacrifices have to be made. Covid passports are a sensible way forward until vaccination rates catch up.
Let’s hope so. Andy Murray did a brilliant job flying the flag for British tennis and we’d all love to see a female representative repeating his trophy-winning feats.
The smart money would be on a draw but I’ve a sneaky feeling Hibs could nick the points. Key could be Martin Boyle who is ready to feature. He is on fire and his pace would terrify any defence.
Should Celtic throw Georgios Giakoumakis in against Ross County today or is Albian Ajeti a safer option?
No time like the present to throw in the new boy. Ajeti hasn’t started a competitive fixture all season so I reckon Giakoumakis could be given an early opportunity to show what he’s all about.
Jim Goodwin has urged clubs to oppose Covid vaccine passports for crowds over 10,000. Is he right and why?
I love Jim’s forthright attitude to controversial subjects but I’m not sure I go along with his opinion here. Covid is rife again and until it is brought under control once and for all, there needs to be limits.
Emma Raducanu has stormed all the way to the US Open final. Will she go on and win it now?
She seems to be storming along on a wave of momentum backed by some brilliant tennis. It’s all there for her to make history. And I think she will.
