Help to celebrate the dedicated and hard-working staff on the front line of the coronavirus pandemic
IT’S been a tough year and a half for everyone – but the healing and caring heroes at the frontline of the pandemic have had it harder than most.
Doctors, nurses, support staff, carers and volunteers have been working tirelessly to help and care for others during the pandemic.
And if ever there was a time to celebrate the NHS and honour those who go above and beyond working in Scotland’s health and social care services, it’s now.
Their invaluable skills and expertise have helped people in their care, healing them, comforting them, coming up with clever solutions, and saving their lives. Voting is now underway for the People’s Choice Award with voting closing on Friday, October 8 at 5pm.
The award, sponsored by Alpha Solway, recognises the work of NHS Scotland and social care staff in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. The award is one of 16 categories in the 2021 Scottish Health Awards, now in their 20th year and run by the Daily Record in partnership with NHS Scotland to celebrate and recognise the work of some of the most dedicated staff in the country.
This year and last, during the
Covid pandemic, our health and care services have never faltered in their commitment to those in their care, to carry us through the pandemic.
It’s your award, your vote, so please use it and help celebrate the unsung heroes who have given us so much. There is no limit on how many votes you can cast. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on November 4. Details still to be announced.
