13 is a stroke of luck for all

New iPhone is among Apple’s top creations

-

THE number “13” might be unlucky for some, but Apple clearly isn’t worried by superstition.

Yes, love it or loathe it, the latest smartphone range from Apple is called iPhone 13 and, despite its familiar looks, there’s plenty going on inside that makes this a must-have upgrade.

Firstly, you’ll find the supremely powerful A15 Bionic processor tucked inside, which makes this phone about 50 per cent faster than its Android rivals.

The 6.1-inch OLED screen is boosted with richer colours and deeper blacks, plus the annoying notch has been put on a diet and made much smaller.

If you’re always running low on battery, there’s more good news as the power pack has been made bigger meaning you get more life out of a single charge.

Budding photographers are also being treated to an upgraded camera system that not only boosts shots in low light but also

brings a new

Cinematic mode to this phone. This video feature allows you to add a Hollywood feel to your home movies as the focus automatically tracks faces and objects, blurring the background like a Portrait Mode photo.

Another welcomed addition is that Apple has finally boosted the storage on its iPhones and not charging a premium for the privilege. The iPhone 13 now starts with 128GB of in-built memory – hooray.

Just like the iPhone 12, this update continues to feature Apple’s Ceramic Shield technology, which makes it able to withstand more punishment and the odd drop on the pavement.

Owners can also enjoy access to the latest 5G data speeds, which can blast files to the phone at speeds in excess of 300Mbps.

There’s so much to love about the iPhone 13 and if you’re due an upgrade you won’t be disappointed.

If the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 sounds too big for those skinny jeans, then a mini version has also launched which gets all the same upgrades but a smaller 5.4-inch screen.
