On Sunday it’s all about the roast

On a Friday evening, I’m typically finishing filming or work at the farm, so when I’m done, I’ll head back home in the car.
The kids will already be back from school ready and excited for the weekend. I’ll get their dinner ready. I usually use my deep-fat fryer outside and cook whole prawns in their shells, dipped in flour, white wine vinegar and white wine. They make the best crispy deep-fried prawns – you can eat the whole lot, shell and everything.
We’ll also have squid, mussels and clams with chunky bread, garlic and parsley. They’ll devour that and I’ll have a nice glass of wine or a Guinness before we watch a film.
I tend to get up quite early, usually 5am. Then Saturday starts with pancakes for the kids and we’ll all go out for a walk with our dog, Whiskey, an Irish terrier. My favourite breed of dog and my favourite drink combined!
We then like to walk down to the local pub to have some lunch before strolling back again. Or we’ll go to the farm and feed all the animals.
