IT’S October, which means Halloween is coming.
There’s a brilliant programme of spooky activities and events planned around Scotland for everyone to enjoy.

LOCH LOMOND HALLOWEEN ENCOUNTER
This live performance event will see ghoulish characters lead groups of visitors through the haunted woods, encountering terrifying performances with sound and light effects.

ALLOWEEN ANTICS
Frightfully good fun at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Ayr, where there will be a daily creepy craft schedule all next week.
On Monday it will be making bat hats, witchcraft on Tuesday, Wednesday is terrifying tealight holders, Thursday will be paper pumpkins and Friday is for making spider crowns.

BALGONE ESTATE PUMPKIN PATCH
Situated in East Lothian, Balgone
Estate Pumpkin Patch offers a full day of fun for friends and family to enjoy.
A beautiful view of North Berwick Law makes for an amazing backdrop to pick your pumpkin, and with nine varieties, there’s lots of choice.
There is also a lakeside trail with live interactions from Crooked Cauldron witches. Enjoy roasting marshmallows, finding clues to spot more monsters, as well as coffee and cake for extra fuel.

PAISLEY HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL
Paisley’s popular Halloween celebrations are back and this year offer Out of this World – an illuminated trail of installations and light displays centred on the White Cart River.
The trail will take you on a journey through Paisley town centre, where you will experience nine intergalactic installations and light shows.
Look out for rockets, shooting stars, spacecrafts, aliens and more.
Plus, it’s free and there’s no need to book a ticket. When: October 28 to November 1. Trail will be lit each evening from 5pm-10pm.

GHOST SHIP
Taking place at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on October 30 and Usher Hall, Edinburgh, on October 31, this is spooky musical fun for all the family.
A ghostly band of pirates from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the RSNO Junior Chorus will bring supernatural music and mayhem.
To accompany the Children’s Classic Concerts, the concert will include music from Pirates of the Caribbean. When: October 30 to 31. SHA’S HALLOWEEN ZIPLINE
Get together with friends and family to trick or treat your way around 14 ziplines in this sponsored Halloween Challenge for Scottish Huntington’s Association, on October 31.
