MONDAY JURY

Gio van Bronckhorst officially takes over the Rangers’ reins today. Will his first match end in Europa League triumph against Sparta Prague?

- DAVID McCARTHY

A huge European night under the lights will remind van Bronckhorst, as if he needs reminding, that he has re-joined a massive club and I think Rangers can do enough to win by the two-goal margin needed to qualify.

Bayer Leverkusen were sensational at Celtic Park and should have too much for the Scots on their home patch. Postecoglou’s team will have a go but this could be too big an ask of them.

Yes, 100 per cent it should, even if the SFA has to twist its own rules on rescinding yellow cards. The Aberdeen player did nothing wrong and in fact should be commended for the restraint he showed.

Every chance. Rangers were not at their best in Prague – or yesterday for that matter – but can be too strong for the Czechs at Ibrox.

It’s a huge ask. Celtic are in form but going to the home of a Bundesliga top gun is a tough job. A draw would be amazing.

Yes. What happened to him seemed very harsh. No player should be dealing with that.

Fingers crossed. Scottish football needs all the help it can get and there would be a poetic justice about knocking the Czechs out for a place in the knockout rounds.

It looks like a big ask. Leverkusen away is the toughest fixture in the group. If Celtic can take a point home from Germany it would represent a huge success.

The rule book won’t allow it but it’s a travesty of justice nonetheless. It’s difficult to fathom what was going through Bobby Madden’s mind when he booked Ojo for doing absolutely nothing. A shambles of a decision.

It’s a European baptism of fire and a big ask for the Dutchman but Rangers will make it a homecoming occasion at Ibrox for their new boss and that could swing the tie in their favour.

Celtic go to Leverkusen on a high after reaching the Premier Sports Cup Final. Can Ange Postecoglou’s men get a result?

Doubtful. The Germans are on a different level to Celtic and if they play as they can then it’ll be a difficult night for the Hoops. Postecoglou has pledged to fight fire with fire and that bold approach is high risk.

Should Funso Ojo have his second yellow card rescinded after being sent off for the incident with the Dundee Utd fan on Saturday?

Yes. It’s a farce that the Dons midfielder was sent off. The priority for match officials should be the protection of the player and Bobby Madden got this one badly wrong.
