KING IS GONNA RULE

- BY GARRY OWEN

ONE TRUE KING (1:45) can reign for Nigel TwistonDavies in the Howden Novices’ Chase at Ascot.

The six-year-old stayed upwardly mobile when hammering the experienced Darebin at Sandown.

That race is working out well so this smart type should defy a deserved 5lb hike for his thriving yard.

JETAWAY JOEY (12:35) can rise to the challenge for Olly Murphy in the conditionals’ hurdle. The gelding built on some excellent efforts when slamming Baddesley on his return at Uttoxeter.

The six-year-old is nicely unexposed and has enough to deny some promising rivals on his handicap debut.

COMPLETE UNKNOWN (1:10) can just shade a red-hot maiden hurdle for Paul Nicholls. The five-year-old improved again with a good second to the exciting Ree Okka at Chepstow.

The gelding was staying on strongly that day so he looks good to open his account over timber up in trip.

Team Ditcheat can also take the Lexicon Bumper thanks to HENRI THE SECOND (3:30).

The gelding showed the promising Deere Mark no mercy on debut at Chepstow. The four-year-old can deny a cracking field at Listed level.

COLONEL MUSTARD (2:20) could shock favourite Jonbon in the Kennel Gate Novices’ Hurdle.

Lorna Fowler’s horse built on some near-misses in Graded company when hacking up at Cork.

There is plenty more to come from this talented type who can add a warm Grade 2 to his tally.

GLADIATEUR ALLEN (2:55) could also spring a minor surprise in the Noel Novices’ Chase. Jane Williams’ horse showed class and guts to beat Elixir De Nutz on his fencing bow at Exeter.

The gelding is open to plenty of progress so he can give weight and a beating to a strong field.

GREATEST STAR (3:10) is the pick to boost Dan Skelton’s title bid in the handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter.

And SHYJACK (3.20) can enjoy a well-deserved success for shrewd Christine Dunnett at Southwell.
