KAI’S THE LIMIT VOWS TAYLOR

-

KAI KENNEDY makes a quickfire return to Dunfermline today after joining Hamilton Accies on loan from Rangers.

Kennedy left East End Park through a lack of game time and he is determined to show the Pars what they missed.

The winger said: “I am pleased to be at Accies and I have spoken with the gaffer at length about what he sees for me here.”

Accies boss Stuart Taylor is delighted to have landed Kennedy.

He said: “Kai is a very direct winger who will excite supporters.

“He is a great addition to the group of lads we have here.”

Dunfermline’s Paul Allan is determined to ‘put things right’ in his team’s relegation battle after going from fan to first-team player.

The 21-year-old has signed a new contract that keeps him at the club until 2024 but the midfielder knows his side face a grim battle to stay in the league after last weekend’s 5-0 hammering by Morton.

That left the Pars two points adrift at the bottom of the table as they prepare to host an on-form Accies, who have lost only one of their last six outings.

The team’s slide under Peter Grant and now John Hughes has angered fans and Allan admits he knows how they feel.

He said: “The focus from everyone at the club is to stay in the league.

“It’s not been a great season for us at all, and it’s not a position we expected to be in at the start of the season so it’s something we need to address.

“The main priority is to keep the club in the Championship and then kick on next season.

“In the position we’re currently in, it can be frustrating for the supporters. I was a fan before and I can imagine what I’d be saying if Dunfermline were down at the bottom of the table.

“It’s just something that, as a club, we need to put right and hopefully get the fans back on our side.

“No-one wants to get relegated, so the main focus is to stay in the league and then kick on from there next season.”

This season has been Allan’s breakthrough campaign at Dunfermline following previous loans at Stenhousemuir, Brechin City and Albion Rovers.

He is desperate to repay the faith that has been shown in him by the club.

Allan said: “With my old deal being up in the summer, this gives me more security. It’s good to see the gaffer putting faith in you. That gives you confidence. I’m happy to be here until 2024 and I just need to kick on now.”
