THE result will depend entirely on how Rangers respond to their heartache in Seville. If they think they have reason to feel sorry for themselves now then just wait until they take another second prize at Hampden. But, at their best, they should have too much for Hearts to handle.

RANGERS will haul themselves off the canvas to deliver a knockout blow to Hearts’ hopes. Other than the Jambos’ lastminute equaliser at Ibrox, Rangers have dominated these games this term and will have too much quality.

THIS could be an open game – similar to the Cup Final that followed Rangers’ UEFA Cup final defeat in 2008 when they edged Queen of the South in a five-goal thriller. I’m going for a repeat scoreline.

I can see this game going the distance. We could even be looking at extra time and even penalties. If Rangers turn up though I expect them to just edge it but Hearts will push them all the way.

HEARTS have a great chance to get at Rangers after Seville but the Ibrox team have shown real resilience this term coming back from Euro matches. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men can dig out a tight affair.

THIS has got the makings of a classic with two teams intent on attacking. Hearts have taken just one point from four meetings with Rangers this season though and if both teams are at it then I can only see a win for the Ibrox men. Leg-weary as they may be from Seville, that hurt will drive them on to victory with Ryan Kent the key.

GIO VAN BRONCKHORST will have to freshen his line-up after their exhausting Europa League efforts but Rangers proved last week at Tynecastle their second string are still more than good enough to trouble Robbie Neilson’s win. A victory won’t mask the pain of Seviile but will ensure they can end the campaign with a first Scottish Cup triumph since 2009.
