Much like Enemy Of The State, this is a technophobic thriller about an innocent man being pursued by shady secret agencies who’ve hacked his life. Jerry (Shia LaBeouf) and Rachel (Michelle Monaghan) become the country’s most-wanted fugitives and must figure out what is happening to them and track down the woman pulling the strings. SICARIO 9PM, FILM4
Before directing Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve cemented his reputation with this crime thriller. In Sicario (which is Spanish for ‘hitman’) Emily Blunt is an FBI agent who is tasked with bringing down a ruthless Mexican drug cartel boss but is hamstrung by government corruption. WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES 11.10PM, FILM4
“No mercy, no peace, this is war. Apes together.” Those gun-toting super-smart simians are back. This time, Caesar – played by Lord Of The Rings and King Kong motion-capture king Andy Serkis – and his kind face annihilation at the hands of a human army led by Woody Harrelson’s ruthless colonel.
