This tense thriller sees Bruce Willis play a security guard who uses his supernatural abilities to track down a disturbed man who has 24 personalities – but then finds himself locked up in a mental institution alongside his arch-enemy, played by Samuel L Jackson. THE CRUCIBLE 12.05AM, TALKING PICTURES TV

This adaptation of the classic Arthur Miller play stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Winona Ryder. ASalem resident tries to frame her ex-lover’s wife as a witch in the middle of the notorious 1692 Salem witchcraft trials in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Strong performances make this spellbinding. LOVE, SIMON 1.05AM, CHANNEL 4

Teen romcom about a young gay student’s journey towards coming out. Nick Robinson plays Simon, a closeted gay high school boy who struggles to balance his friends, his family, and the blackmailer threatening to out him to the entire school, while simultaneously attempting to discover the identity of the anonymous classmate with whom he has fallen in love online. KELLY’S HEROES 1.30PM, TCM MOVIES

Classic comedy-action heist in which Private Kelly (Clint Eastwood) goes awol and embarks on a risky mission to snatch a million dollars of gold from Nazi territory with the help of a ragtag band of soldiers – including Eastwood’s fellow screen icons Donald Sutherland as Sergeant Oddball and Telly Savalas as Sergeant Big Joe. ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL 9PM, FILM4

Cyber-punk action flick based on a Manga comic in which a deactivated cyborg is revived but can remember nothing of her past, so she sets out to discover who she is. Starring Rosa Salazar and Christoph Waltz. (2019/12) ★★★
