Miovski is Hungary to step up his goals tally
BOJAN MIOVSKI insists he’ll score the goals to fire Aberdeen back on to the European stage.
The North Macedonian striker signed a four-year deal after the Dons signed him from Hungarian outfit MTK Budapest last week.
The 23-year-old met his new team-mates at their pre-season training base in Spain on Tuesday and took part in his first training session yesterday.
He said: “Every striker wants to be No.1 and, of course, I want to be No.1 striker here.
“First I have to help the team hit targets and I know the target is to be in the top three.
“If I score a lot of goals, I think I will help the club reach the target.
“I don’t follow Scottish football but I know it’s very hard physically and at a good tempo.
“I can improve a lot by coming here. I think I will fit in. If I didn’t think like that, I wouldn’t have come.”
Miovski has 10 caps for his country and Aberdeen beat a host of clubs across Europe to bag him. He said: “It is a big pleasure to play for Macedonia.
“Every young player’s dream is to play and show for the national team.
“I started playing futsal when I was 14 or 15, then I started playing normal football. Everything started in the academy in my city.
“I grew up there and stayed one-and-a-half years in Macedonia. Then I moved to Hungary and had a perfect two years.”
The frontman will soon be joined by ex-MTK teammate Ylber Ramadani.
Miovski added: “Ylber is fantastic, he runs a lot and fights for every ball.
“He is a No.6. I have a good relationship with him and he will be good for here. It will help a lot because we know each other. He will come a bit later but I will help him.”
