Louisa’s a Grande fit

-

CLEAN Bandit originally wanted US superstar Ariana Grande to sing on new Louisa Johnson collaboration Tears.

The dance group look set for a huge global hit with the track featuring last year’s X Factor winner.

But band member Jack Patterson revealed they approached Dangerous women Ariana before Simon Cowell convinced them Louisa was the right fit.

Rather Be hit-maker Jack said: “We did send Tears to a few big names including Ariana Grande’s team but didn’t hear anything back.

“In the end Simon Cowell heard it and wanted Louisa to record it. I was a little nervous at first as I didn’t really know her.

“To be honest she wasn’t the only one who recorded the vocals but as soon as we heard her version we all knew she was perfect.

“We all went for drinks with Simon after the Britain’s Got Talent final and he couldn’t be happier. The reaction to the song has been phenomenal.”

Both Clean Bandit and Ariana performed at yesterday’s Capital Summertime Ball where Jack told me: “If you see Ariana mention we still want to record something with her.” US rapper Flo Rida may not look like your average Taylor Swift fan.

But the big man with the big hits has revealed he’d love to be a part of her famous squad!

Revealing he’s Team Taylor all the way, Flo told me: “I’m a big Taylor Swift fan.

“She’s an incredible songwriter and I have her albums which I listen to.

“I went to see her in concert and she put on a great show.”

Chatting at London’s plush Corinthia Hotel ahead of yesterday’s Summertime Ball gig, Flo also revealed plans to move into acting.

He added: “I’ve been having some meetings so you will hear about some acting things very soon. I love fast cars and partying so The Fast And The Furious would be cool.”

Flo’s new single Hello Friday featuring Jason Derulo is out now.
