‘Sicko’ gives tour of Savile haunts
EXCLUSIVE PATRICK WILLIAMS A GUIDE is offering £15-atime Jimmy Savile walking tours around the pervert’s old haunts.
Details of the twisted tribute to the paedophile DJ were posted on a Facebook page called Jimmy Savile Is Innocent.
The organiser told our reporter the three-hour tour would take in Leeds General Infirmary, below, where the sick entertainer attacked hundreds of victims and where he boasted of having sex with corpses.
And he defended his planned walks, saying: “I’ve had quite a lot of interest. People are fascinated by him.
“People in London go on Jack the Ripper tours so why not a Jimmy Savile tour? And the Ripper was a mass murderer. Jimmy never killed anyone.”
The guide – calling himself Jimmy Rockingham on Facebook and using a black and white pic of Savile as a profile shot – told potential customers: “See where the legend lived, loved and lied! £15 inbox for details.”
The man, who said his real name was Rick, boasted about still being a fan of the late Jim’ll Fix It host who was one of the UK’s most prolific sex offenders.
Rick, from Leeds, told our reporter: “Jimmy did a lot of good work for charity. He raised millions of pounds and people seem to forget that.”
He said he planned to take walkers on a trip past Savile’s childhood home, the site of his old school and to the Mecca Locarno, where he was a DJ and dance hall manager.
Guests would also see the spot where Savile had his boat moored on the River Aire and the Queens Hotel, where his body “lay in state” before his funeral.
More than 5,000 people filed past Savile’s coffin after his death aged 84 in 2011. The following year the first details of his campaign of sexual abuse emerged. It is now believed he had around 1,000 victims.
