just like the portly politician who faced this banner, pictured inset right, when he left his house this week.

Drew said: “Luckily there hasn’t been anything terrible, but I’m not very thickskinned.

“I get people muttering things under their breath when they walk past me, which is upsetting.

“If I’m dressed up as him I sort of expect it. But I hate it when I’m trying to go about my daily business and people start taking pictures of me.

“It’s not even subtle – it’s really blatant and they’ll come over and stick a camera in my face.

“On another occasion I was filming a documentary and a homeless man started GEEKY Michael Gove tried his hand as a TV comedian. The Tory leadership candidate, 48, is out to become our next prime minister.

But years ago he was trying for laughs on satirical show A Stab In The Dark, pictured.

He was on the late-night Channel 4 series in the early 90s alongside David Baddiel.

In one clip he jokes about the Tories failing to sort out Britain’s economy and mocks Norman hurling abuse at me.” Drew has even had a T-shirt made which says “I Am Not Boris” to help ward off any unwanted attention.

He gave the real Boris a shock when the pair came face to face in 2009.

Boris held a Mayor’s reception for London Pride which his doppelganger attended but was left speechless when they were introduced.

Drew said: “I was dressed as me, not Boris, but I was wearing a T-shirt that said ‘Magical Mayor of London’.

“It was a boiling hot day and I was a puddle of sweat. I stepped out of the lift and there he was.

“He stared straight at me and looked pretty shocked. He asked me how I was but looked like he had seen a ghost.

“Boris was talking to a women’s activist and they were looking over at me, talking about the resemblance.

“I leaned over and said: “I’m cheeky enough to tell my friends that I’m the Gay Boris and they’re cheeky enough to say back, ‘You mean there’s a straight Boris?’”
