MARIO’S GOT KEY TO D’OR

MARIO BALOTELLI reported back for pre-season training at Liverpool yesterday admitting he ‘hasn’t been himself’ in the last two nightmare years.

Balotelli (right) who moved to Anfield for £16million in August 2014 spent last season on loan at AC Milan but would love to still be a Kop king – and blasted that his relationship with ex-boss Brendan Rodgers was “disastrous”.

Balotelli, 25, predicts that he can one day win the prestigious Ballon d’Or. He said: “I know people will laugh when I say I want to win it – but I have not done everything needed to become the best. “On a scale of one to 10 I have only reached five. “But I will get to 10 eventually. The most important thing is that I have realised my mistakes and it is not too late yet. “I have not been at my own level for the past two years. I have had physical problems and other issues. I have not been the real me.” Balotelli is not in Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s future plans. STEVE MILLAR LUKE SHAW has launched his bid to impress Jose Mourinho – and regain his England place.
