FIDDY’S SO POP GEAR...
Rapper wants TV job
RAPPER 50 Cent reckons he could be the man to save Top Gear.
The controversial chart-topper urged BBC bosses to give him a job to revive the under-fire show.
Bosses hired Chris Evans to replace Jeremy Clarkson as host.
But Radio 2 host Evans was panned by critics and fans because of his shouty presenting style.
Ratings dropped to an all-time low of 1.9million per episode by the end of the series.
Evans quit and the hunt is now on for a new face for the flagship motoring show – and 50 Cent is up for it.
He said: “I would love to work on Top Gear, I could save that show for sure… but it would cost them.
“There ain’t a car I haven’t owned over the years. My car collection is as good as anybody’s.”
Down the years he has splashed out on a string of expensive motors, which he thinks makes him an expert.
Real name Curtis James Jackson III, 50 Cent is famous for hits including In Da Club.
But he’s also a regular on US TV shows thanks to his cheeky personality.
The global star, 41, nicknamed Fiddy, watched the most recent series when it was shown on BBC America.
He said: “Top Gear was one of the world’s iconic shows and it’s a shame it came to this.
“The show since the old team left has been unrecognisable and if it don’t get back to where it should be soon then it may never recover. “It’s a show you know you can watch in any country you are in. They got to get it right again for all the fans.”
