THERESA DOUBLE TROUBLE
It’s a lookalike crisis
BRITAIN’S leading lookalike agencies have been plunged into crisis by a shortage of Theresa May doubles.
The Prime Minister might have it all after landing the top job at No.10 – but one thing she is missing is a decent doppelganger.
A string of firms are frantically searching to find a ringer for the top Tory to do public appearances and parties.
Agencies like Susan Scott, Fake Faces, A-list Lookalikes, Splitting Images and Costello Entertainment are yet to get the Tory leader’s double on their books.
Many were caught offguard by David Cameron’s shock resignation last month and the double-quick leadership contest that took May to Downing Street.
Susan Scott said they were speaking to a few hopefuls but were still to sign anyone up. A spokesman told us: “We will consider all options but ideally we are looking for the whole package...the look, the walk and the talk.” A-list Lookalikes also said they had been hunting for one for weeks but still hadn’t found anyone.
The person who fits the bill can look forward to a bumper payday over the next few months.
The ideal candidate could earn up to £1,000 per booking and demand should be brisk.
The new prime ministerial double could find herself on TV, doing photo shoots and even being booked for movies.
Our Susan Scott source added: “They don’t have to agree with the politics of the person they look like or want to be the next Prime Minister.
“They just have to be up for a laugh and be available to cover events.”
