THREE-quarters of us no longer follow recipes in cook books.

Instead foodies are adding their own special ingredients – including Guinness to gravy and CocaCola in curry.

But our top five dishes remain classics, with curry being Britain’s favourite dish followed by roast dinners, spaghetti bolognese, chocolate cake and fish pie.

However, in a survey, 72% said they love to add their own touches like Worcestershire sauce, honey and peanut butter.
