JOSE SAYS IT’S

GAMING SENSATION RULED OFFSIDE BY NEW MAN U BOSS

-

MANCHESTER United players are facing a Pokémon Go ban.

New boss Jose Mourinho has told his multi-millionaire stars not to play the gaming sensation for two days before a match.

The manager laid down the law to players ahead of their current pre-season tour to China, where they will face arch-rivals Manchester City tomorrow.

Jose, 53, spoke to every one of the first team squad to insist that he wants his team to be focused solely on tactics in the 48-hour build-up to a game.

Many of the United side are fixated with the Nintendo game but have been stopped in their tracks by their new gaffer.

Pokémon Go involves fans collecting hundreds of the JOHN MAHONEY classic characters from worldwide locations.

A club source said: “Jose loves having a great relationship with his players and staff, and thinks it’s great for them to chill and relax away from training and games.

“He’s still finding his way around Old Trafford and treading carefully. The only thing he has picked up on which he’s told the lads of is his concern about Pokémon.

“He says for 48 hours before a match he wants the guys to leave it alone and concentrate on the tactics he and his staff have been working on in the days before.”

The Portuguese – who has won trophies with Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Porto – has a £30million, threeyear deal at United.
