Babes lined up for Italian job

-

FERNE McCann has called on ITV chiefs to give her and pal Vicky Pattison their own spin-off show, The Only Way Is Amalfi.

The girls, who met in the I’m A Celeb jungle, are now showbiz reporters on This Morning.

And this month they filmed cookery-themed items for the daytime show on Italy’s Amalfi Coast.

Ferne, 25, said: “We’d definitely like to do more of it. A full series would be amazing. I’m really excited for people to see what we’ve filmed.

“It’s not often you get to do a job that sees you travelling the world with one of your best mates. Vicky cracks me up, she’s a really good girl.”

Despite becoming close friends on I’m A Celeb, they rarely get to see each other these days unless they’re filming.

Ferne said: “We’re both really busy with work all the time. Since the jungle we’ve been like ships passing in the night. But doing this project means we had five days together having a laugh.”

Since both made the I’m A Celeb final last year, Vicky, 28, and Ferne have had a career boost.

Ferne has landed presenting work while Vicky is now a regular on Loose Women. MRS Brown is back later this year for two festive specials. Millions tuned in last night to watch the sitcom going out live for the first time.

BBC chiefs have now given it some plum primetime slots around Christmas.

It will be the sixth year in a row that Mrs Brown’s Boys has been at the heart of the festive schedule. Filming is due to start in October in Glasgow. Previous Christmas specials have pulled in a whopping 15million viewers.
