ARSENE’S HIG SICK
ARSENAL will be thwarted in their attempt to land Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, who is on the verge of a move to Juventus.
Higuain, 28, has undergone a medical with Juve and agreed terms on a £78million switch.
It is not the first time Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has failed to net the striker.
Three years ago, Higuain looked ready to join Arsenal from Real Madrid, only for Napoli to snatch him from under Wenger’s nose.
Juventus remain in negotiations over the transfer but are ready to meet the buyout clause for the Argentina dangerman.
Higuain has two years left on his contract and was the top scorer in Serie A last season with 36 goals.
Atletico Madrid were also tracking the striker but they – and Arsenal – will now look elsewhere with Juve poised to complete the deal.
