Jur going in right direction

TONY STENSON JURGEN KLOPP is feeling the love – and he hopes it will help him to end over 26 years of hurt for Liverpool.

Their last title win came way back in 1990 but the ruthless display they put in at Chelsea on Friday is a sign that something good is about to happen at Anfield.

The 2-1 scoreline did not do Klopp’s men justice and when he raced on to the pitch at the end he was ecstatic, cuddling and kissing his players before one mighty fist-pump to Reds fans.

Liverpool have now taken 10 points from their opening five games despite having only played once at home.

Klopp (below) said: “We are together and we want to go this way together.

“I think it makes football much more enjoyable when you feel this togetherness.

“The players fight with the last drop of fuel in their machine.

“We had a few wonderful performances individually and it was a really nice display.”

Croatia defender Dejan Lovren, who scored the opener at Stamford Bridge, said: “We are a team which wants to play and wants to win.

“The manager is always positive and it was an amazing win.

“It’s a bit too early to talk about the title but we are positive and we can keep playing well.”

pressured us and we couldn’t cope with it. “‘Everyone was shocked. “We now have away trips at Leicester in the League Cup and Arsenal in the Premier League as we attempt to get back to winning ways after a strong start to the season.”

The returning David Luiz said: “It was not a good night for us.

“They controlled the game in the first half with a lot of possession.

“They were better than us and then they scored two goals with a quick free-kick and an amazing shot.

“I’m very happy to be here again but I am just a bit sad as I didn’t start how I wished.”
