‘Saturday job’ blast Strictly curse won’t strike
STRICTLY bosses are facing a mass walkout after Craig Revel Horwood hinted he will quit the show.
Len Goodman is leaving at the end of this series and Darcey Bussell has also threatened to walk.
If all three judges quit it would plunge the show into crisis.
Craig, 51, has been a judge since Strictly started 12 years ago. But in comments that will worry producers, he claimed it was just his “Saturday job”.
Hinting that he will leave, he said: “You never know what’s around the corner or what opportunities are going to come your way.”
Appearing on Strictly has made Craig, pictured, a star and helped him to secure work directing stage productions.
Speaking about the show, he said: “I just go in there on a Saturday. I call it my TV Editor Saturday job. Watch a nice bit of dancing, comment on it and go home. “Then I can get on with my real job, which is directing and choreographing. “I’ve got Sister Act out on tour at the moment and it will be coming into the West End next year. “And I’ve got a lot of new projects I’m working on as well.” Craig has previously told the Daily Star Sunday he does not care if he is axed from the panel. He said: “I wouldn’t mind not judging. They can get rid of me if they want.” Fellow judge Darcey, left, has previously threatened to quit if Len Goodman leaves. Last year she said: “I don’t think Len will go any time soon. If he goes, I might go.” FORMER Hollyoaks hottie Carley Stenson has been promised she won’t lose a second fella to the “curse of Strictly”.
The 34-year-old was dumped by boyfriend Ricky Whittle in 2009 amid rumours of a romance with Aussie dance partner Natalie Lowe.
Now her fiancé Danny Mac, 28, is on the BBC One show that has a history of love splits. ED GLEAVE But the soap pin-up has promised Carley she has got nothing to worry about – because his day job means he already works with super-babes. Danny popped the question last March and the couple are planning a wedding next year.
He said: “Carley is absolutely buzzing for me. She wouldn’t have said yes to marrying me if she was worried.
