Poch demand to cut out mistakes
MAURICIO POCHETTINO has told his Spurs players they must learn quickly in the Champions League if they want to get out of their group.
They went down 2-1 to Monaco in the unfamiliar surroundings of Wembley in their opening game and face CSKA Moscow in Russia on TONY STENSON Tuesday. The Spurs boss said: “It was a collective problem, not an individual problem. When we wait six years to play Champions League it’s disappointing.
“You can lose and not play well but never concede two goals how we conceded.” And Dele Alli added: “We didn’t help ourselves. In the second half we dominated but we weren’t clinical – I think we did do enough to win.
“We need to make sure we learn from our mistakes and start games quicker and brighter.”
