DONALD Trump costumes are proving a Halloween hit. Stores have seen unprecedented demand from partygoers wanting to look like the sleazy Republican candidate for the White House. Trump toupees, false eyebrows and plastic masks have been the most popular buys for Brits hoping to give friends a fright. Fancy dress store Escapade said Trump masks had been one of their most popular sellers in the past few weeks. A spokesman said yesterday: “The Donald Trump masks have been very popular. We’ve seen a massive spike in sales of our Trump and Hillary Clinton masks. Even the Barack Obama masks are highly sought after. “Our shop staff said they have had many people in the store this week asking for them.” Wig stores also said they had been witnessing the “Trump effect” in the run-up to October 31. Dave Gaze, of Bristol-based store Chaplins, said: “We’ve had a run on Trump wigs and eyebrows. “They’re trying to catch up with scary clown gear. Who knows what tomorrow may bring… Boris Johnson barnets?” The costumes have also proved hugely popular in the States, where some retailers have been selling a “sexy” Trump costume for women. Fancy dress company Yandy offers a Donna T. costume, made up of a snazzy navy blue suit, a white shirt – with a boobbaring cutout – a red tie and an American flag pin badge. Billionaire Trump has been embroiled in a sex scandal after being caught on tape in 2005 talking about groping women. In new tapes released last week the 70-year-old also admitted he had watched the Paris Hilton sex tape. This is despite the fact that he has known her since she was aged just 12 and is a long-time friend of her parents. Since the first tape – in which he said he would “grab women by the p****” – was released, Trump has dipped 11 points behind Democrat candidate Clinton in polls.
