Rapper confesses to using Class A drugs

FURIOUS X Factor fans have called for Honey G to be axed following her drug addiction revelation.

Irate viewers have turned on the popular rapper after she confessed to using Class A drugs.

Her fellow contestant­s are also fuming, accusing the producers of giving the star special treatment.

Honey G – real name Anna Georgette Gilford, 36 – shocked fans yesterday by boasting that drug use made her “hard core” and “the real deal”.

She admitted taking cocaine and ecstasy in the past and said Showbiz Editor she still smokes marijuana. But her claims backfired as angry fans took to social media to criticise the rapper for being a bad role model.

Many demanded the novelty act, who last night performed Staying Alive, should be kicked off the show.

Others accused the show of double standards after axing Frankie Cocozza back in 2011 for cocaine use.

The Brooks Way brothers were also kicked off this year over allegation­s twin Josh had STRICTLY favourite Danny Mac has been told to neck more booze by his dance partner.

The former Hollyoaks hunk is working so hard in training that Oti Mabuse, 26, is trying to help him relax.

Some viewers have moaned Danny’s performanc­es are too perfect and he’s admitted he is now trying to let loose. In an exclusive chat, he said: “Oti has advised me to drink more. For one, she thinks I’m boring if I haven’t had a drink. And secondly she says it can help me wind down after training. “I’m under a lot of pressure because I’m the favourite to win.

“At first it was lovely and I was flattered. But since then everyone has upped their game. Every week I get so nervous that I’ll go home. I’m always prepared for that. But I just don’t want to go. I’d be gutted to leave.

“You can only do your best – it’s not up to us who stays and who goes. I wouldn’t bet on me to win.” The former Hollyoaks star, 28, has faced claims he has an advantage because he had dance training at stage school.

He said: “I’m not trying to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes. Yeah, I did do dancing as part of my course…but it wasn’t the same style or on the same level as what I’m doing on Strictly.

“I’ve never been employed as a dancer.” assaulted his girlfriend before auditionin­g.

Fans hit out by posting their outrage on Twitter.

One tweeted X Factor saying: “Highly disappoint­ed in your media campaign to keep Honey G in limelight. #drugs.” Another, inset, said: “Honey G saying she took drugs should have been removed instantly. Her fans are young kids. GET HER OFF.”

Another angry viewer blasted: “How can X Factor kick Brooks Way out of the competitio­n for ‘past abuse’ and when Honey G admits to having a drug problem, they do nothing??” More accusation­s of double standards included: “So Simon Cowell, you got rid of Frankie Cocozza for using drugs, now get rid of #HoneyG!”

The rising star has been allowed to stay in the contest after promising ITV bosses she has not taken illegal substances while living in the X Factor house.

But the decision hasn’t gone down well with her fellow wannabes who believe they are favouring her to win.

Our show source said: “Everyone is getting angry because they feel Honey is getting special treatment. Everyone feels it is turning into the Honey G show.”
