Now dimwit wants to fly

He said: “I want to fly so I’d love a jetpack. I want to buy one so badly. Imagine if people could see me flying around Essex on a jetpack.

“If I had one it would just be sick. They definitely exist. They fly them on football pitches. But I think you might need a licence.”

Two months ago test pilot David Mayman took the first-ever jetpack flight in Britain.

He used the hi-tech JB-10, which has two turbo jet engines and can hit speeds of up to 60mph.

He flew around over the Thames in London for four minutes.

Brits won’t be able to get their hands on a jetpack, which will cost around £196,000, for three years.

But Joey is already planning what he will do when he gets one.

He said: “I want to be able to literally sit in my garden and be able to fly up into the air and go around London.

“That might be dangerous, so maybe at first I’ll just fly around my tennis court.

“That would be safer. I don’t really need to fly anywhere. I’d just do it for Instagram and Twitter and jokes.”

Meanwhile, Joey hopes to do a technology special of his ITV2 show Educating Joey Essex so he can bag a trip to Japan.
