CAIN FACES HEARTACHE OVER KYLE
CAIN Dingle finds himself in the firing line when he makes a shocking decision about his son Kyle’s future. He has been caring for the lad since Joanie left but is in the middle of a tug-of-love over him.
Kerry Wyatt and Lisa Dingle each want to have full custody of Kyle, but the final decision lies with Cain.
He finds himself at the centre of the drama when it becomes clear he’s not capable of looking after Kyle alone.
The crunch comes this week when he almost hits Kyle in a moment of frustration. It leaves him determined to do what’s best for the boy.
Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain, explained his character’s response after Kyle saw him hitting Dan.
He said: “Kyle goes home from school because Zak and Lisa think he’s not feeling well, but Cain knows that it’s about what he saw.
“He’s trying to put Kyle’s shoes on and Kyle’s being a bit off with him, throwing things about.
“That’s when he raises his fist to Kyle. There’s a picture of Shadrach on the wall and he sees that picture and it makes LEELA Campbell is a woman living on the edge next week as she fears her baby secret has been exposed.
It was revealed over the festive holidays that Leela’s husband Cameron is not the father of her son, Daniel, and that Louis Loveday is the dad.
That’s a secret they are determined to keep, knowing full well it would blow a massive hole in the lives of both their families. But secrets never stay hidden for long in soapland. Next week, Leela and Louis will be sent into a panic when they realise a conversation they have had about Daniel has been overheard. And with him realise this is history repeating itself.
“Then Moira comes around and he just says, ‘I’m a terrible dad. You don’t know the half of it.
“Kyle saw me hitting Dan the other day, and I almost raised my hand…he needs to be with somebody else’.”
A show insider added: “Cain heads to The Woolpack for a beer as he tries to work out who Kyle should live with. It doesn’t take long for Kerry and Lisa to show up with Dan and Zak in tow.
“Both women want Kyle for themselves and have plenty of reasons why the other shouldn’t have him, but who will Cain pick?” the Lovedays gathering on the Love Boat to celebrate Lisa’s birthday, it could be the moment the truth comes out. A show insider said: “Leela knows if it’s revealed that Louis is Daniel’s father then all hell is going to break loose.
“She has no idea who overheard them talking about their son but when she gets to the party she realises Simone is acting strangely. She fears she is the person who knows the truth.
“With the party in full swing Leela struggles to hold it together and hide her guilt as Louis’s other kids welcome her, little realising the secret that could cause chaos.”
