French fancies MARSEILLE AFTER CITY PAIR

-

The French club have already targeted wantaway West Ham star Dimitri Payet and will take their Premier League spending to over £40million if they land the City duo.

Marseille have had a cash injection after being bought by American businessman Frank McCourt, former owner of the LA Dodgers baseball team.

The moneybags outfit have already bid for midfielder Payet, 29, and are hoping to clinch a £25m deal.

That is well below the amount the Hammers will want, though, and they have insisted he is not for sale.

But Karren Brady, the West Ham vice-chairman, admitted yesterday in her newspaper column: “With this attitude, I suppose that probably sooner rather than later he will be on his way.”

And Marseille also want another two Frenchman – Nasri and Sagna.

Both Payet and Nasri made their names at Marseille.

Midfielder Nasri, 29, is on loan in Spain with Sevilla and they claim that they have been offered him permanently for £16m.

Right-back Sagna, 33, will be out of contract at The Etihad at the end of the season.

Nasri, meanwhile, is likely to seek a substantial pay-off from City as he still has two years remaining on his £140k-a-week deal. ROBBIE BRADY has become one of the most wanted players in this month’s transfer window with SIX clubs chasing the £13million-rated Irishman.

Norwich’s left-sided star, who can play in midfield or at full-back, has been a target for Sunderland, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Aston Villa and Newcastle.

Black Cats boss David Moyes is the latest manager eyeing Brady, 25, and he sees him as a potential SUPER agent Mino Raiola is sitting on another goldmine in the shape of Juventus kid Moise Kean – and Arsenal and Manchester City are at the front of the queue to sign him.

Kean, 16, is valued at £10million and plays up front or on the left.

Raiola said: “Moise Kean is the name to watch in 2017 and I’m not just saying that as I’m his agent.

“He’s 16 but has a determination within him that is scary.” replacement for Patrick van Aanholt, 26, who is wanted by Palace’s former Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce.

The Eagles, though, would have to increase their £8m offer.

An alternative target is Juventus and former Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra, 35.

Allardyce has already signed another left-sided player in this window in Leicester’s Jeffrey Schlupp, 24, for £12m. WEST HAM have been told to forget signing AC Milan frontman M’Baye Niang.

It is believed the Hammers have made contact with the Serie A giants over a deal for Frenchman Niang, 22, but their approach was rejected.

Boss Slaven Bilic is also looking to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson, 27, from Swansea should the Hammers change their mind and decide to sell wantaway Dimitri Payet.
