SINGER BAILS OUT TATTOOIST AFTER BABY TRAGEDY

ED Sheeran saved star tattooist Kevin Paul from financial ruin by putting thousands of pounds in his bank account.

Kevin forged a successful career inking everyone from James Arthur to Harry Styles and Rihanna.

But he got into financial difficulties when his wife had two miscarriages and he was unable to work.

The tattooist told how Ed, who is No.1 in the UK and the US with Shape Of You, put a big sum into his account after hearing of his woes.

Kevin, who has been pals with the singer-songwriter for five years, said: “I opened up to Ed one day and the next he messaged me to say he had paid money into my account as a gift and didn’t want paying back.

“He basically saved me and my family and I will never forget that.

“I would like to pay him back one day but either way I will always be eternally grateful and love him for what he did.

“He really didn’t have to do anything but that’s Ed. He’s incredibly caring and still down to earth.”

Kevin’s woes started at the beginning of last year when his wife Tara suffered her second miscarriage in six months.

But the family hit hard times when Kevin had to turn down work to look after Tara and their children.

He said: “I’ve never had financial problems but after everything that happened I had to pull back on work.

“My bank account went from £40,000 to £40.

“I had to sell my car and still had a house to pay for, a business to run, kids to look after and things just started to snowball.

“I honestly don’t know what would have happened without Ed’s help.

“He turned things around for us and now Tara is pregnant again so things couldn’t be better.”
