West’s best says James

-

COMEBACK kid James Arthur has set his sights on recording with Kanye West and Jay Z on his third album.

The former X Factor winner is currently making waves in the US with his brilliant UK No.1 Say You Won’t Let Go.

The track, which has already been a worldwide hit, is at No.31 on the US Billboard chart and rising.

James hopes his new-found American success will pave the way towards his “ultimate collaborations”. He said: “I would love to do a hook on a big Jay Z or Kanye West track or get them doing a verse on mine.

“I also love Sia, so to work with her would be incredible. I think she’s quite a similar artist to me in the fact she has a big voice and delivers her vocals very honestly.

“I would never just do a collaboration for the sake of it but if I was ever lucky enough to work with any of those I would.”

After a public meltdown and sacking from record label Syco, James was snubbed by artists he wanted to work with, such as former pals Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding. But James, 28, who is nominated for Best Single at the BRITs, added: “There’s a lot of artists I reached out to for collaborations who ignored me in the past who are now contacting me and congratulating me.

“Everyone wrote me off. I guess even me to some degree, so I guess it is understandable.

“But it is interesting to see people who blanked you come back and say they always knew I’d do well.” BILLIONAIRE Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel will spend a small fortune on champagne for his wedding to Australian model Miranda Kerr. Spiegel was spotted at the new Ralph Lauren Coffee Bar on London’s Regent Street with bubbly tycoon Shammi Shinh. My source said: “Miranda has been given free rein over arranging the wedding and wants the world’s best champagne free flowing.”
