TRUMP HEADYAYA IN HEREREEREREEI

PM helps Trump as he goes stair crazy

-

US PRESIDENT Donald Trump gripped Theresa May’s hand during a White House meeting because he is scared of steps, it was claimed.

Sources close to the US leader, 70, revealed he suffers from bathophobia – a fear of stairs – after being snapped holding on to the British Prime Minister, 60, while navigating the descent.

The Friday afternoon clinch was beamed around the world, sparking hopes of strong ties between Britain and the US.

However, Downing Street sources have played down the phobia claims, saying instead that the hand-holding was merely a “chivalrous gesture” from Mr Trump. Meanwhile, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, 64, yesterday paved the way for a new era in relations between the world’s two most powerful nuclear countries.

In their first official contact since Mr Trump’s election, the pair talked via their “hotline” phone link between the Oval MIKE PARKER Office and the Kremlin. White House officials confirmed that high on the agenda was whether America will continue its hard-line economic sanctions against the former Soviet Union.

Fears Mr Trump might lift the sanctions have caused alarm around the world. Arizona Senator John McCain warned: “I hope President Trump will put an end to this speculation.”

Mr Trump refused to be drawn on questions about Russia’s alleged “hack attacks” on last year’s US election or the “dirty dossier” allegedly linking him to prostitutes in Moscow.

Yesterday, it was revealed that former KGB agent Oleg Erovinkin – the key source behind the dossier – has been murdered.

His body was found in the back of his black Lexus and a “large-scale investigation” has been launched.
