Chelsee: ‘My Jack’s learned hard way’

-

ED GLEAVE learned the hard way. But I’m glad he did. It can be quite stressful for me when things in my private life are made public. But you have to ride with the bad and the good. “Jack doesn’t like the limelight. It’s not what he signed up for. He knows being in the public eye is my job and he respects that.

“But at the same time he doesn’t want to be involved in it all.”

Jack also hit headlines after snaps emerged of him brandishing a gun.

Former Strictly contestant Chelsee said he has been “supportive” since they found out they were expecting a child together.

In her first public chat about her pregnancy, she said: “I’m so excited. Jack has been so supportive.

“He’s my best friend – I wouldn’t want to go through it with anybody but him.”

When Chelsee first realised she was expecting she feared her part as Goldie McQueen could be at risk. The actress, who celebrated joining the show at the National TV Awards last week, said: “I thought, ‘I hope I’ve still got a job’. But I now know there’s a crèche on site which gave me peace of mind. So I’ll definitely be going back to Hollyoaks after I have the baby.

“I’ve been there for a few months and it’s just getting better and better. “I feel lucky to be able to get back into acting. I’m being taken seriously and she’s a great character. I used to be like her – a bit naughty.

“Back in the day I probably would have robbed a bottle of wine from a shop like Goldie. But not anymore.

“As you get older you realise you don’t want to jeopardise things. I’ve matured.”
