LADS PLOT BIG HIT WITH GIRLS

-

X FACTOR finalists 5 After Midnight are hoping to record a smash-hit single with Little Mix.

The trio want to launch their careers by releasing a potential pop classic with the show’s 2011 winners.

Chatting exclusively to Wired, Kieran Alleyne, Jordan Lee and Nathan Lewis revealed they were still waiting to hear from Simon Cowell weeks after signing to his label Syco.

But despite the lack of contact from their new boss, 5AM were confident Cowell would guide them to superstardom like fellow XF boyband One Direction.

The group said: “We haven’t actually got to speak to Simon yet but we’ve talked a lot with the label who are really excited for us.

“Hopefully we will get to speak to Simon soon. It would be great to hear his thoughts on where he sees us going.

“It’s amazing to know we will get to work with a lot of the same team who made One Direction such big stars. It adds pressure but also fills us with confidence.” Cowell signed third-placed 5AM after snubbing XF winner Matt Terry and runner-up Saara Aalto.

And the boys hope their move to Syco could lead to a collaboration with label mates Little Mix.

They said: “Little Mix would be a dream collaboration.

“It would be really cool to get a girl group and boyband together. Especially when we both dance. We could do a great performance.”

The lads started work on their debut album on Tuesday and hope to have their first single out in the spring.

They added: “We started in the studio this week. The plan is to have the first single out around the end of March and then the album to follow soon after.

“It depends how long it takes but definitely by the end of the year.”

The boys can be seen on The X Factor UK tour which starts on February 23 in Nottingham. Tickets are on sale now.
