Favourite Marilyn goes missing in a raging Aussie bush fire
THIS is the grim scene when teacher Nancy Osborne collapses as she continues to hide her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
Her world was turned upside down when she got the devastating news she was suffering from the condition which attacks the nervous system.
Nancy’s husband Darren is worried she is ignoring her illness, especially when a promotion comes up at work.
He urges her to take it easy but she is determined to go through with the interview when she discovers that Courtney Campbell is going for the same job.
Sadly, as our picture shows, Nancy loses her balance while giving a presentation. As she falls she hits her head hard, leaving her unconscious. Headteacher Sally St Clair and work rival Courtney raise the alarm and Nancy is taken to the hospital. Darren rushes to her side and pleads with her to tell Sally what she is going through. A Hollyoaks insider said: “Nancy is struggling to cope with the diagnosis as she doesn’t want to believe what is happening to her body. “Darren is heartbroken but tries to get his wife to face up to what she is going through, only then can she start to make adjustments to her life. “But when the promotion comes up Nancy wants it more than anything. She refuses to slow down and gets herself stressed out and exhausted. “By the time of her presentation she is not feeling good at all. Nancy then becomes disorientated and loses her balance. “It’s heartbreaking to watch. Sally and Courtney have no idea what she is going through.” You can tune in to see the heartbreaking scenes on the Channel 4 soap a week on Tuesday. He said: “When I was told they were bringing Dee back I couldn’t believe it.
“The love triangle between Toadie, Dee and Sonya brings a number of twists and turns.” Toadie believed he had killed Dee on their wedding day in 2003 after he accidentally drove their car over a cliff. “There are fears that she has perished and John is beside himself as he desperately calls out her name.”
