N’DIAYE AND NIASSE NET FOR TERRIFIC TIGERS AS KLOPP’S NIGHTMARE 2017 GETS WORSE

-

N’Diaye, he was left with the easy task of stroking home.

Klopp, clearly furious, sent his players out early for the second half and, to be fair, Liverpool restarted the way they had begun as an attacking force.

Philippe Coutinho’s 49th-minute corner found Can whose header was finally held by keeper Eldin Jakupovic – amazingly Liverpool’s first chance on target.

Then Adam Lallana delivered a clever, telling ball for Sadio Mane to see his header plucked out of the sky by Jakupovic to prevent a certain equaliser.

Hernandez caused widespread Liverpool panic when he raced clear with a clear sight of goal only for Mignolet to make amends by smothering the ball low at the striker’s feet.

Back came Liverpool and in a mad scramble, Coutinho blazed wide before the unthinkable – a second Hull goal.

Substitute Niasse found himself free and bore down on Mignolet, did not panic and coolly slid the ball into the net to bring mocking Klopp cries of, “You’re getting sacked in the morning.”

Liverpool could not believe it – and nor could their boss as Jordan Henderson’s blockbuster was tipped over by Jakupovic and substitute Daniel Sturridge watched in horror as his shot bounced off the keeper’s body.

It simply summed up Liverpool’s horror day which has left their hopes of challenging for a top-four finish and a prized lace in the Champions League next season hanging in the balance.
