VALENTINE’S DATE NIGHT FIZZLES OUT

LEE and Whitney Carter try to enjoy a romantic Valentine’s Day but things are not looking good for the Albert Square newlyweds.

The couple have been struggling with their relationsh­ip for months but decide to make an effort and go out for a meal.

Lee, who has depression, has no idea Whitney had a passionate snog with his dad, Mick.

It happened after she was injured in the bus disaster.

This week viewers will see Whitney confiding in her close friend Lauren Branning about her marriage.

Lauren offers her some good advice and Whitney realises she needs to be more sympatheti­c towards her husband.

But the pair struggle to put their past behind them as they try to make the most of their night out.

And with actor Danny-Boy Hatchard, who plays Lee, leaving the soap it’s not looking good for their rocky marriage.

An EastEnders insider said: “Lee blames Whitney for a lot of their money problems. “He hates his job and feels useless. “Whitney tries her best to make him MYRA McQueen goes into labour with her ex-partner Sally St Claire by her side.

In scenes to be screened later this month, Myra goes to a hospital appointmen­t by herself but secretly wishes she had the baby’s dad, Diego, with her.

As fans know, Myra dumped him after finding out he was a conman. He was recently freed from prison and has been doing everything he can to win her back. But the feisty mum remains strong until she finds herself alone at the hospital. When she returns to the village she tells Sally she is scared of being a single mum again.

Having worked through their problems, the two have become close friends and Sally insists she will always be there for her.

So when Myra’s waters break at feel better but ends up making things worse. They’re struggling financiall­y and Lee feels like he’s sinking.

“He is so stressed about his work and money but if he was to ever discover what his wife and dad got up to behind his back it would send him over the edge.

“Whitney suggests they make more of an effort and they decide to celebrate with a meal out. But there is so much tension between them they can’t really enjoy it.”
