My horror at ordeal of women

-

ROSS Kemp said seeing pregnant rape victims fleeing from their captors is the worst thing he has ever witnessed.

Former EastEnder Ross saw petrified mothers-to-be trying to get away from ruthless sex trafficking gangs.

The 52-year-old was filming his new TV show about the plight of refugees trying to escape war-zones, slavery and brutal government regimes.

Ross said: “Between 5,000 and 10,000 Nigerian women are trafficked into Libya every year to work in the sex trade, although they are told they are going to Italy.

“You see so many pregnant women among the refugees.

“You don’t embark on a journey like that when you’re pregnant – it’s because you’ve been raped.”

Ross’ new show, Libya’s Migrant Hell, starts on Sky1 at 9pm on Tuesday. HUMAN remains have been found by search teams following an explosion and fire that caused a block of flats to collapse, according to police. The family of Guido Schuette, 48, who is the only person unaccounted for since Tuesday’s blast in Oxford, have been informed of the find. Andy Boyd, from Thames Valley Police, said: “Forensic identification procedures will now take place to identify the deceased person.” Investigators are looking into the blaze, but so far no cause has been given.
